About the Job
The Jewelry Designer will play a key role in developing compelling, on-brand jewelry that supports the overall assortment strategy and merchandise objectives. In this full-time, on-site role based in our New York City office, you will combine creativity, technical expertise, and attention to detail to deliver innovative designs. This position requires proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and a strong understanding of jewelry production, with the ability to balance multiple projects on a fast-paced design calendar.
What You’ll Do
Design & Development:
- Partner with the Senior Jewelry Designer to create innovative designs that align with the brand's vision and strategy.
- Produce and present design concepts for review by the product team.
- Create detailed technical specifications and collaborate with Product Development to bring designs to market.
- Refine and rework designs based on feedback from Sample Review Meetings and cross-functional partners.
Trend Research & Innovation:
- Research new materials, techniques, and trends appropriate for the brand.
- Propose design ideas and innovations to enhance seasonal collections.
- Maintain a comprehensive library of technical specs and design standards.
Collaboration & Execution:
- Work closely with the product team to ensure cohesive and compelling collections.
- Adhere to the design calendar, delivering projects on time while balancing multiple priorities.
- Bring a high level of creativity, precision, and efficiency across all projects.
Who You Are
- Experience designing jewelry for relevant brands (along the lines of Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Tuckernuck, etc.)
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator; knowledge of Photoshop and Excel a plus
- Strong understanding of jewelry production processes and materials.
- Experience with other accessories (belts, bags, sunglasses, hair accessories) preferred.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A collaborative and creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
